Since its founding in 1997, the Institute has been the catalyst and champion for a growing global movement to establish health as the new “human capital asset” and source of competitive work force advantage for the 21st century economy – as vital as knowledge or skills.  IHPM and its WPWA now operate worldwide through Chapters in Europe,  Asia and the Middle East.  IHPM also conducts regular Forums in Europe and the United Kingdom and has held training and certification academies in Brazil, China, Bahrain and Russia.

Prior to founding the Institute with two physicians, Sean was the original President and CEO of the National Business Coalition on Health for five years, and spent ten years as a Washington-based health economist and policy analyst – as a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) for Public Policy Research, and as Executive Vice President of New Directions for Policy.

He has authored articles and monographs on health policy and health care market trends, testified on these subjects before Congress and state legislatures, and met with government ministries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Russia and the Middle East. He speaks around the world on Health and Productivity Management as the new business and economic strategy for higher performance and competitive advantage in the global economy.

Sean holds degrees in economics from Harvard and law from Stanford.
